Phosphor bronze or aluminum bronze for a tulip contact spring ring?
Phosphor bronze C51000 or C52400 is standard for spring carriers in tulip contacts. The alloy holds spring rate well over insertion cycles. Aluminum bronze works for structural or conductive rings that don't need spring action.
Is heat treatment required for spring duty?
Phosphor bronze spring rings often benefit from a stress-relief temper to set the spring rate. We can supply rings either soft-temper for forming-then-treating in your assembly, or pre-treated to the spring temper.
Are rings silver-plated?
Default is as machined. Silver plating on contact surfaces is available; specify thickness in your order.
Can you produce rings to a legacy OEM drawing?
